Fishing takes place in the sheltered waters of San Diego Bay, where anglers explore productive shallow grass beds, tidal channels, current breaks, and man-made structures that consistently hold fish. Trips are conducted using 6–8 weight fly rods paired with a variety of specialized fly lines, allowing anglers to effectively fish different depths and currents throughout the bay.
